Last weekend at Fuji, the JAMA revealed that the plan for 🇯🇵 motorsports in 2027 is to have an industry-wide 3-week summer break around the important Obon holiday on August 15 to combat the summer heat. They called it a "feasible challenge". This year, the Japan Meteorological Agency introduced the new term "kokushobi" (brutally hot day) for days around 40°C. More details will be revealed when the JAF presents the 2027 calendar next month, but the summer break could potentially extend some series' schedules until December.
