An off-putting trend is taking a historical figure known for tenacity, courage, valor, etc. and giving him the AI treatment to physically rendering him as a more muscular (i.e., "masculine") version of himself. The man was not that. He was something else, and his strength was not your caricatured idea of what strength looks like.

Everybody wants to know the founder after the monster round. I love the random Saturday call before the world knows their name. A few months ago, I met an insanely gifted founding team at a pitch competition here in Miami. I’ve been tracking their momentum ever since. Saturday, the founder and I exchanged a few texts, then jumped on an impromptu call. They were laser-focused on the only things that matter: the technology, the customers, the team and the execution. Their résumés are wild. Every co-founder holds a doctorate in a field like computer science or robotics. Any one of them could take the safe path into Big Tech and make life-changing money. Instead, they chose to build. That decision says more about them than the degrees ever could. There will be hurdles. There always are. But the discipline, tenacity and clarity are already unmistakable. By the time the press releases, big rounds and accolades arrive, everyone will say it was obvious. It never is. That’s why I love being in the corner early.

Andrew McAfee spent this debate rejecting confident AI extinction forecasts. Then he named the thing that amazed him: "I agree with you guys. AI is new, and the fact that AI is so these days is agentic." "It goes off and does long chains of things on its own. After we give it some very, very vague, very short initial instructions, holy Toledo, it will spawn up a storm of agents and they will go off and kind of do their own thing, and they will grind." "They will spawn lots of them. They will work for a long time. They will exhaust every possibility." "With the experience I have with agentic AI, I'm just amazed at the tenacity and the doggedness of these things." Moments earlier he had called the case for inevitable catastrophe "very far from a humble approach," made with "no large base of evidence to base any of this on." He is the skeptic here, on a panel with Roman Yampolskiy, Nate Soares and Ed Zitron, and this is his own experience of using the tools rather than a measurement. What an agent does after a vague instruction is observable today; what it implies about the long run is the part still in dispute. A grassroots effort that when fortified and unleashed created an awareness of the evil that has long controlled our world, then creating a fire and the will to fight a battle on a myriad of fronts, simultaneously through various social and information channels, as well as the necessary kinetic war in the tunnels and the sky, which collectively saw the unifying of the world against an unseen enemy. We've now entered the final act in "The Greatest Story Ever Told." We will soon witness a total transformation of humanity's future, a rebirth in it's limitless potential, and the hidden technology that will allow humanity to heal and soar into a universe it was meant to embrace from the beginning. Those of us with you from the beginning, through this evolution of "The Plan To Save The World," will be standing by.
