Last June’s Nations League final was one of the very few Spain games that have not gone well for Lamine Yamal, with Portugal's Nuno Mendes covering him excellently and the Paris Saint-Germain defender even getting forward to score an excellent goal himself. Mendes has also done well against Yamal at club level — with PSG knocking Barcelona out of 23-24 UCL and also winning at Camp Nou in last season’s group stage. Lamine has said before that Mendes is “one of the best left-backs in the world.
