I should have posted months ago given the hype, but here's my 65min deepdive into @substrate's claim to re-energize USA litho with an x-ray tool, supplanting @ASMLcompany as the kingmaker. It'll cost a trillion dollars, but the economics need to work.

In the game of memorable esoteric western names, I've seen the likes of Lettuce, Raptor, Apple. Now introducing.... Turkey.
Hey, don't you want to tape up your camera, in case it gets hacked? I'm running Linux. The camera doesn't work. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I was going to write / record something about Etched. But one of the co-founders reached out, so I'll have a meeting/briefing first. :)
The one over there needs turning off and on again.
I finally managed to run GLM-5.2 fully locally by inter-connecting 256 16GB Mac Minis
This week on The AI Hardware Show, @sallywf and I cover some of the more esoteric AI hardware designs on the market, from Waferscale to WTF. These include @cerebras WSE, @ceremorphic, @IBMResearch, @neurophos, @NextSilicon, @Tachyum and @Tesla Dojo.

Documentary was just relased about the parakeets.
In West London there's a flock of parakeets that fly though the area, around 200+ of them, and every so often they come by my corner. Sounds like a handful escaped a few decades back and they've flourished /at the expense of ?). Noisy buggers too ๐Ÿ˜‚

Let's make a video with Intel CTO about what the right metric should be :)
Actual number of printed features on this chip that are โ€œsub-1 nanometerโ€ = ZERO This naming convention makes absolutely no sense and is highly misleading.
I am banging my head against the wall with so-called 'science experts' who still have no idea that node names aren't actual measurements. '0.7 nm' is a NAME. It is NOT A MEASUREMENT. It's been this way since at least 2005. Perhaps ask a domain matter expert rather than publish nonsense?

OMG @IBM just announced its 0.7nm process node using homegrown NanoStack technology. It defines a route for transistors after GAA by using a staggered CFET design enabling 50% logic scaling, 40% SRAM scaling, and 666 million transistors per sq mm***.

It's not two wafers bonded together. They transfer over the top channel and build the top transistors into that. The bonding becomes part of the litho as it's not HBI based.

Base GB200 NVL72 is 2 GPUs per CPU. Meta's custom Catalina NVL72, โžก๏ธshown almost than a year ago at a public event, is 1:1. Some of y'all just missed the reason why, I guess.
