$AAPL’S 1ST FOLDABLE IPHONE COULD START ABOVE $2,000: CITI Citi expects Apple to unveil its first foldable iPhone, likely called the iPhone Ultra, at its Sept. 9 launch event. The bank sees a starting price above $2,000, while the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could each cost about $200 more than their predecessors. Citi estimates Apple will build 7.5M foldable units in H2 2026, with another 4M planned for Q1 2027. The wider iPhone 18 lineup is expected to feature A20 chips, with TSMC as the sole supplier using its 2nm process. Foxconn is expected to handle all Fold models and most high-end iPhone 18 assembly.
