FIVE ANIME CLASSICS ARE RETURNING TO THE BIG SCREEN IN 2026 Five iconic anime films are getting major theatrical re-releases in 2026, including several new 4K presentations: • AKIRA (1988): September 4 • GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995): September 18 • NINJA SCROLL (1993): October 4, 5 & 7 • VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST (2000): Select screenings this fall • COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE (2001): October 30 in Japan AKIRA, GHOST IN THE SHELL, and NINJA SCROLL are confirmed for 4K theatrical presentations, while VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST will return in a new HD master ahead of a wider theatrical release in 2027. Meanwhile, COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE is receiving a 4K remaster theatrical release in Japan on October 30, celebrating its 25th anniversary. For fans of classic anime, 2026 is giving some of these legendary films another chance to be experienced on the big screen.

CD Projekt Red is officially working with popular modder HalkHogan on The Witcher 3 Remaster. HalkHogan, creator of the HD Reworked Project, confirmed: “I am cooperating with CDPR on the Witcher 3 Remaster and my work will be officially available in the game on September 29th (on PC and consoles).” He also confirmed that HD Reworked Project will no longer be needed separately. “Almost all ingame characters, monsters, animals, vegetation, armors and equipment for Geralt & Roach and a large part of the environment have been reworked.”

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is getting a remaster from an RTX Remix community project developed by modder Gokuwashere and is still in an early stage. The current version lets players explore areas including Seyda Neen, Balmora and the Mages Guild. It replaces many of the game’s original assets with higher-quality textures and materials, while also adding: - Path-traced lighting - Better reflections and shadows - Volumetric clouds - Improved water - New foliage and rocks - Enhanced particle effects for spells - DLSS 4.5 - Support for existing community mods NVIDIA says the current build covers only “a small portion of Morrowind’s vast world.”

Rumors of a Fallout: New Vegas remake or remaster are picking up again. Trusted leaker NateTheHate, who previously shared accurate information about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2, has said that earlier reports about a New Vegas project are believable. Reports had already suggested that Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas could receive updated versions. Recent Fallout merchandise listings have added more speculation about possible Fallout releases in 2026.
