Today, September 16, marks the beginning of one of the most painful chapters in Palestinian history. In the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Beirut, Palestinian civilians — including women and children — were killed during the massacre that took place from September 16–18, 1982. 44 years have passed, but the names, faces, and memories of those who were lost have not disappeared. We remember them today because victims should never become just numbers in history books. May the souls of the victims of Sabra and Shatila rest in peace. 🇵🇸🕊️
