A 41-year-old woman who allegedly vandalized the World War II Memorial in Washington with spray paint has been arrested and faces two felony charges, federal prosecutors said.

🔥🚨 BREAKING — The World War II Memorial in D.C. was vandalized with spray paint reading “Clean hands, dirty money” and soap poured into the fountains, creating overflowing bubbles. U.S. Park Police closed the area to tourists and opened an investigation. The Interior Department called the act an “utter disgrace” against a site that honors more than 400,000 Americans who died in the war. What should the punishment be for the person responsible?

Between February 1964 and February 1965, the bodies of six women were found in or near the River Thames in west London. All had worked as prostitutes, all were found undressed, and most appeared to have suffocated rather than to have died of obvious violence. The victims were Hannah Tailford, Irene Lockwood, Helen Barthelemy, Mary Fleming, Frances Brown and Bridget O'Hara. Two earlier deaths, in 1959 and 1963, are sometimes linked to the same man. Newspapers called him Jack the Stripper, and the killings became known as the Hammersmith nude murders. Forensic scientists found tiny flecks of spray paint on several of the bodies. The particles were traced to a covered area near a paint workshop on an industrial estate in Acton, which suggested the killer had kept the women there before moving them. Scotland Yard, under Chief Superintendent John Du Rose, interviewed thousands of men and watched the area at night. After O'Hara, the killings stopped. Du Rose later said his leading suspect had taken his own life, but the man was never named in court and the claim has been disputed by other researchers. No one was charged, and much of the original evidence has since been lost or destroyed. More creepy moments:

With newly added Gaussian splat tools like TripoSplat image-to-splat, @OTOY Studio makes it possible to rapidly turn a single image into a real-time volumetric 3D asset and carry it into a broader production workflow. Here I generated a sand castle splat in OTOY Studio, brought it into @SplatPaintApp for real-time procedural FX, imported it into Cinema 4D to build an X-Particles system, and then exported the animated splat sequence into Octane Standalone for final relighting and rendering. Image → splat → real-time FX → X-Particles → animated splat sequence → Octane render. The full animation can seamlessly be sent to @rendernetwork for scalable rendering without changing the core workflow. Rapid iteration, real-time creative control, and a direct path into production VFX. Explore the tools at:
