a $30 tripod made me five figures and somehow it’s not even the thing on this list i value the most here are things I spend money on that were actually worth it: -lasik: i was scared af and it definitely wasn’t an easy experience, but there is nothing better than being able to see clearly. i did mine in dubai for around $800 -my drone: definitely a luxury, but it lets me see nature from a perspective i would never get otherwise. i barely posted most of what i filmed and i’d still buy it again -a tripod: not even a good one lol. my expensive tripod broke my mic, while my cheap one helped me film 300+ videos by myself that made me five figures last year -packing cubes: i travel too much to live without them now. i can literally pack in around 20 minutes -my decathlon beach towel: i’ve used it as a curtain, blanket, suitcase divider, pillow… almost never as an actual towel -birkenstocks: took me like 5 months to understand the hype. now i get it not everything worth spending money on has to be an investment sometimes it just makes your life easier, more comfortable or more fun

Some environment shots of the Assassin Mage + Hexen game I'm making. All of the 3D models were made with Tripo3D, their smart mesh feature is pretty good at generating game-friendly poly count models that looks good.

This is for everyone who still thinks Gen3D is useless 🤣 I generated a koi fish with clean topology using @tripoai but it was just a static mesh. No rig. No bones. Nothing. I wanted to animate it without touching Blender because I genuinely have no idea how to use Blender 😂 So I casually asked Claude if it could help me with it... And then Claude built THIS 🐟 A fish that swims, breathes, reacts to your cursor and even looks directly at you when you stop moving your cursor. It took a completely static 3D model and turned it into a fully animated fish with a swim cycle and subcarangiform kinematics. It even optimized the model and brought the file size down from 14.79MB to just 4.16MB. And also that water with ripple effects is built with TSL too. 60 FPS. WebGPU with WebGL2 fallback. All @threejs. This was inspired by @marina_uiux's website where I saw a fish swimming across the page. I immediately loved the idea and thought, "What if the fish actually felt alive, more immersive?" So I made it happen. And honestly, this is the kind of thing that makes me excited about what we can build with 3D on the web now. All thanks to AI!
