a $30 tripod made me five figures
and somehow it’s not even the thing on this list i value the most
here are things I spend money on that were actually worth it:
-lasik: i was scared af and it definitely wasn’t an easy experience, but there is nothing better than being able to see clearly. i did mine in dubai for around $800
-my drone: definitely a luxury, but it lets me see nature from a perspective i would never get otherwise. i barely posted most of what i filmed and i’d still buy it again
-a tripod: not even a good one lol. my expensive tripod broke my mic, while my cheap one helped me film 300+ videos by myself that made me five figures last year
-packing cubes: i travel too much to live without them now. i can literally pack in around 20 minutes
-my decathlon beach towel: i’ve used it as a curtain, blanket, suitcase divider, pillow… almost never as an actual towel
-birkenstocks: took me like 5 months to understand the hype. now i get it
not everything worth spending money on has to be an investment
sometimes it just makes your life easier, more comfortable or more fun
