UK businesses are still pretty bullish on Taiwan 🇹🇼🇬🇧 The latest UK–Taiwan Business Survey is actually quite positive: • 64% of UK businesses expect their Taiwan revenue to grow in 2026 • 35% are planning further investment in Taiwan • 73% say cross-strait tensions have NOT affected their current Taiwan operations • Taiwan’s biggest strengths remain semiconductors, AI, advanced tech and R&D Of course, risks are still there. More companies are reviewing future investment because of cross-strait tensions, and energy supply + talent shortages are becoming bigger concerns. But the overall message is quite clear to Liwei: UK businesses still see Taiwan as a very attractive place to do business, especially as AI and semiconductor investment keeps expanding. And Taiwan companies also rank the UK as one of their most preferred trading partners, second only to Japan. Liwei lived in the UK for 4 years before, so of course I’m happy to see 🇹🇼🇬🇧 relations getting closer too! 🥳 but the geo political risk is definitely there, if you are to invest Taiwanese companies, always prepare for the worst case scenarios 🤣
