Liberia 🇱🇷 has banned the export of raw, unprocessed natural rubber to support local manufacturing.
President Joseph Nyuma Boakai signed an executive order requiring more rubber to be processed inside the country before export.
The ban covers cup lump, latex, and rubber scraps, while processed rubber products can still be exported.
The policy is expected to create jobs, add more value to Liberia's rubber industry, and reduce reliance on exporting raw materials.
