Not exactly a comfortable target to protest against, because that would mean being critical of Islam itself. But even putting that aside, it simply exposes how easily society latches onto a particular outrage because it's the trend they've been instructed to follow. That was the case with BLM, and of course Gaza. The outrage was not organic. In no way was it genuine. It was a case of sheeple being sheeple.
