We stopped doing charity drives using our platform because of an incident we had earlier this year, where a lady we were trying to help raise funds for scammed us of over 3.5 Million naira using old pregnancy Vidoes. This lady targeted our vulnerability and conscience, claiming she was pregnant and needed surgery, and ended up scamming the BSN Family. Luckily, after following herculean processes, including obtaining a series of court orders, we were able to recover 3 million Naira out of the over 3.6 million that was raised. Since then, I told God I would take a step back from using our platform for charity Drives this year. However, this month, as we mark our 5th anniversary as a family, we will be using some of those recovered funds to support another round of the Pad a Girl Child Project. The last time we did this, across cities in Enugu, Lagos, and Abuja, we distributed a three-month supply to over a thousand indigent and schoolgirls who couldn’t afford it.
