I just sold a domain for $20k that I bought for $9.95. Found it ~15 years ago by trolling through lists of race horse names from the early 20th century, figuring I could ride the coattails of some very creative people who didn't have the ability to register domain names. Footnote: If a pharmaceutical company launches a blockbuster drug called Valyra, I will feel sooo stupid.
