Celebrity endorsements for Karen Bass donโt matter. These Beverly Hills celebrities canโt speak for LA voters because they canโt even vote for Mayor of LA. Chelsea Handler, Magic Johnson, Lisa Rinna, Samuel L. Jackson, and Drew Carey live in Beverly Hills with a functioning police department and completely different problems. They donโt deal with LA residents waiting hours for police response, homelessness taking over neighborhoods, or 911 putting people on hold. Their endorsements are meaningless to people actually living through the crisis.
