On July 5, our member Lau Feilong, together with other Cantonia, Kwangsi, Jinland, Tibet, Manchuria independence activists were invited to attend an event in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, commemorating the 17th anniversary of the Urumqi massacre.
The root cause of the July 5 tragedy was East Turkestan's long-term colonial rule by China, which subsequently led to China's prolonged authoritarian rule in East Turkestan. We jointly commemorated this tragedy and stated that the Chinese empire is the root cause of the suffering of all peoples.
July 1 marks the CCP's so-called Party anniversary, as well as the day when it began implementing its so-called "Ethnic Unity Law". People from different communities, including our member Lau Feilong, held a joint demonstration at Dam Square in Amsterdam.
Participants from the independence movements of Cantonia, Kwangsi, Tibet, and East Turkestan stood together in firm opposition to the CCP's unitary authoritarian rule and to its tyranny and enslavement of peoples across different regions. A Uyghur friend also displayed a widely circulated online map envisioning the breakup of China.
For 105 years since its founding, the CCP's destruction and oppression of the peoples of the East Asian continent have been plain for all to see. We call on all peoples to overthrow tyranny and bring an end to the Chinese Empire.
