CORRIGAN PODIUMS IN STEEPLECHASE FINAL AT USATF OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW YORK CITY – James Corrigan claimed a seventh place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championship Saturday afternoon at  Icahn Stadium. The junior finished in a season-best 8:21.05 to earn a spot on the podium. The BYU school record holder in the event, who competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics representing the United States of America in the steeplechase, advanced to the final round after finishing 13th in the first round on Thursday, clocking in at 8:32.20. Carter Cutting placed 12th in the 1500m final Saturday in a time of 3:51.65. The junior, who holds the BYU school record in the event, advanced to the final after taking third overall in the first round Thursday coming across in 3:41.59.
