U.S. PENDING HOME SALES HIT 5-MONTH LOW
U.S. pending home sales fell to a five-month low as elevated mortgage rates kept buyers on the sidelines.
Pending sales dropped 3.7% W/W and 1.9% Y/Y to 311,150, the lowest level in over five months.
The average 30-year mortgage rate rose to 6.69%, while mortgage purchase applications fell 4% W/W.
Despite weaker demand, the median home sale price increased 2.9% Y/Y to $406,362.
