🇵🇸 GAZA | July 5, 2026 | Update through midnight ⭕️ Attacks 🔸 Nasser al-Awwada died of wounds from an Israeli artillery shell east of al-Masdar in central Gaza. 🔸 Another Palestinian man was shot in the neck by an Israeli sniper east of Gaza City, as live fire against civilians continued despite the ceasefire. 🔸 A third Palestinian was wounded when an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped an explosive near al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, an area also hit by artillery shelling. Quadcopter drones intensified fire on eastern Hamad City, north of Khan Younis. 🔸 Israeli tanks advanced southeast of the Maghazi camp under heavy fire, with illumination flares over the Mills junction between Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah. Artillery struck northwest Rafah. 🔸 Israeli naval boats shelled the sea off Rafah and Khan Younis and fired on fishermen’s boats, alongside fresh demolitions north of Rafah. ⭕️ Humanitarian 🔸 Palestinians returning to Gaza after medical treatment abroad continue to face strict Israeli restrictions, with footage showing personal belongings patients were reportedly barred from bringing back. ⭕️ Announcements 🔸 The Government Media Office announced a press conference for Monday, July 6, outside the journalists’ tent at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah to address significant developments.
