This bridge in Guizhou, the tallest in the world, is now a national and international tourist site.
That is part of poverty alleviation. Not just transporting people, but it was built in a very poor part of China deliberately.
Now, millions of tourists are pouring money into local homestays, new cafes and restaurants, and everything else too.
This is precisely one combination-method China uses to raise local populations out of poverty. Infrastructure and tourism.
