I think what most Rocket Lab stockholders are missing is the capabilities of the two proposals.
You can summarize it like this: Blue’s proposal was designed for long-term use and next-generation exploration missions, with larger capacity and flexibility. Rocket Lab’s advantage was that it could do it quickly using older technology it had used before, making it simpler.
Blue deserved the win because it's proposal was thinking far ahead, sure Rocket Lab could potentially make theirs faster, but it doesn't mean it would be better.
