The Open University's Animal-Computer Interaction Laboratory has developed the Dogosophy Button — a large wireless switch designed specifically for dogs to operate with their nose or paw. Trained service dogs can use it to control lights, fans, kettles, and other plugged-in appliances, helping people with mobility disabilities, visual impairments, or other conditions live more independently. The name comes from "dog-centered design philosophy" — the idea that instead of adapting human technology for animals, the device was built from the ground up around how dogs naturally interact with the world. The button pairs wirelessly with a receiver in about 30 seconds and works from up to 40 meters away. It's currently available in the UK for £80. #ServiceDogs# #AssistiveTechnology# #Design# #Innovation#
