I've been building Dobby for a while now. It's a bookkeeping app that sorts your expenses into categories and helps you plan your tax, plus a lot more. It's coming out soon. I'll also share how I thought about the design and how I build with AI. I used Opencode🤝

Had an "interview" for a blockchain project last week. Camera was on, we're chatting, and the guy tells me to clone a GitHub repo and run it locally before we go further into the technical round. I said sure, but first can you do me a favor hold up 3 fingers in front of your face for me real quick. He froze. Didn't move. Just sat there for a few seconds before the call cut off and he blocked me. That's when I knew. A real interviewer doesn't glitch out over a random ask like that. A deepfake/AI overlay does. These "run this repo" scams are getting scary common in crypto and dev hiring right now. The setup is always the same: - flattering DM - real-sounding project - rushed timeline - a "quick step" before the call that's really just remote access or a credential stealer in disguise. If someone wants you to run code or install something before you've even had a real conversation, that's the whole scam. Trust the instinct. Stay safe out there.

Moving increasingly towards design engineering even though UI design hasn’t been a strong suit so far. Most things I build is with AI too, I don’t really know code that much but I’ve been able to gain basic knowledge of things like shadcn, base ui through it. Exciting times tho.

Started tests today. Receipts were importing properly but for reason bank statements weren’t especially multi page ones. I applied some fixes though like extracting texts per page, merging all page json arrays into one transaction before processing and more. Hoping it works.

I built a little CLI called elf-tokens for designers who want to check whether their Figma design tokens actually match the ones in their codebase. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s open source, so contributions are very welcome. GitHub:

I’ve finished backend implementations. Will start testing tomorrow. Hopefully I have enough data for it because I really can’t afford one at all. It’s also a very emotional time for me too because today makes it a year since I last spoke to my dad. He passed two days later.

Dear Nigerians, I need you to help me get @MTNNG attention as every means we have tried has failed. Help me repost as many times as possible. Six days ago, my household purchased MTN fibre X because the remote job my sister got requested for a fibre network and specifically running at 300mbps. This was a criteria for getting the job which was to start on Monday, 7th of September, 2026. MTN sent an installer to my house and after installation, the guy confirmed it was working and running on 50mbps, we immediately corrected him that we paid for the premium plan, a hundred thousand naira, which is 300mbps, while the basic plan (50mbps) is 30 thousand naira. He simply said, that's a back end problem, my job here is done. Since Last week Saturday till now MTN has refused to do anything about it. We have called their care line over 300 times and have sent series of emails. We have sent several messages here on X per their request, yet they leave us hanging the moment we send the details they need with no tangible solution or response. One week has gone out of a one month plan my sister has been unable to use. I beg MTN To either refund us, or fix this situation and the data must start counting from when it was fixed. MTN at this point send your installer to come and take the router away, the same way you sent them to install it. @MTNNG @fccpcnigeria @NgComCommission

Been working on a bit of a pivot with Hedwig. Currently working to integrate agentic payments with it so that agents can pay for stuff either with x402 or with debit cards. Pretty awesome stuff. Will share more later today.
