Catalina called our campaign’s grassroots support a “lie.”
So let’s look at the actual Florida Division of Elections numbers.
I gathered 2,776 verified petition signatures and qualified for the ballot.
1,726 came from Collier County.
726 came from Lee County.
That means nearly 88% of my support came directly from Southwest Florida voters in FL-19.
Catalina currently has 203 verified signatures total.
Read that again. 203.
This race is exposing the difference between a grassroots movement and an establishment-funded social media campaign.
I earned my place on the ballot from real people.
Not lobbyists.
Not consultants.
Not D.C. donor networks.
It turns out, John Strand is the People’s choice for Florida-19.
BREAKING: Our campaign for Congress in Florida’s 19th District has officially qualified for ballot access with over 3,700 petitions gathered — 2,640 certified and counting.
We are the ONLY campaign to qualify for ballot access in FL-19 for the Republican primary by gathering the required number of petition signatures.
All other candidates failed to obtain the 2,564 signatures required to have their names placed on the ballot and now will need to pay the “failure fee” of $10,000 if they want to run.
Why should we accept failed politicians rejected by the people?
We deserve better.
I am running to serve you.
I am running to destroy corruption in D.C.
I am running to Reclaim the Republic—because it belongs to us.
