At a meeting in Turkey, Erdogan advised Lebanese President Joseph Aoun against rushing into any agreement with Israel, claiming Israel has no interest in peace with anyone. He urged Aoun to strengthen ties with Syria and to visit Damascus, and offered to deploy Turkish forces to southern Lebanon once UNIFIL's mandate ends. Reported by Lebanese outlet Al-Akhbar, affiliated with Hezbollah.
