The Arab quarter of Zabut, corresponding to present-day Sambuca di Sicilia, ๐ฎ๐น originates from the Emir of Trapani, Ibn Mankud, around 1050 during the Fatimid period. This attribution, passed down through local tradition, is corroborated by the geographer al-Idrisi in the 12th c.
