Ireland is becoming a soft option, just like Vietnam or Cambodia did for the likes of Gary Glitter. Light sentences for sex offenders, failures to deport criminals, and letting in people with foreign criminal records, it’s a joke. This sends a terrible message. Ken O’Flynn is right, we’re turning into a refuge for those fleeing justice, not persecution.
