Consumer Rights Wiki is putting together a list of all the times Sony and PlayStation have said that players “own” their games, including digital games and the list is already pretty long. They’ve found examples on Sony’s own websites using phrases like “games you own,” “the digital game you already own,” and “owners” when talking about players and their games in their website This is interesting because Sony is currently arguing in a lawsuit that consumers shouldn’t reasonably believe they actually own their digital games. So now people are digging through Sony’s own wording to see how often the company itself has used the word “own.” All of this examples could be used in the lawsuits against sony, could be funny if Sony now start editing and deleting these terms
