When I was Ambassador to Japan, the reward was serving America and its interests abroad. How wrong I was… It turns out that $100,000 on your AmEx card does have its privileges: Private jets to Davos and Paris. The Four Seasons George V. Christmas and New Year’s in Gstaad. And the latest Trump perk of all: living above the law. But let’s be clear: it’s not just Kimberly Guilfoyle in Greece who is getting the rewards, our Italian ambassador is spending his time cruising around the Mediterranean on a $450 million yacht. The Trump Administration may not want you to see anything about these privileges in writing. But Americans see them anyway. They're sick of paying for Trump corruption — and they're ready to show up on November 3rd to send a message to Trump and his cronies that won't be encrypted.

The cost of doing business with the Trump Admin 2.0 really adds up… $70,000: the cost of the fireworks at Don Jr.’s wedding, courtesy of a Russian oligarch. $100,000: the amount that Kimberly Guilfoyle asked a man seeking federal favors to wire to her AmEx. $35,000 a month: the payments that Republika Srpska makes to the lobbying firm where the White House chief of staff’s daughter is a partner. $4,000,000+: the total that Republika Srpska has paid Trump allies, including the two men running his $415 million super PAC. At this point, the Kremlin should really consider asking the Trump Admin if they have a loyalty program.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists murdered families in their homes, young people at a music festival, and people protecting their neighbors. They committed massive acts of sexual violence against men and women, took hostages, and shattered lives. That horrific day set off a chain of events that brought war, loss, and suffering to families across the Middle East. Today, we remember those killed on October 7 and stand with the survivors and families who carry that trauma and grief every day. But let me offer a hopeful note: what happened last week with the Flydubai flight offers a glimpse of what the future can look like in the Middle East. When that flight carrying Israelis was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, the passengers — regardless of their faith — were met with professionalism and humanity. They received medical care, they were kept safe, and they were able to continue on to Israel. Peace and trust — that’s the future we should be striving for in the Middle East. As an American and a Jew, I will never forget October 7th, 2023 — but, just as importantly, I will also never give up on that future for Israelis and Palestinian. Where cooperation becomes the norm and shared interests are stronger than old divisions.

Trump has made more stock trades than every member of Congress combined. Not more than any one of them. More than all of them put together. And he's pushing a stock trading ban for Congress that exempts himself. His sons cash Pentagon checks and run scuzzy crypto ventures. His Middle East peace envoy's sons work the Gulf royals. Everyone in this White House is cashing in, and you're the one footing the bill. Ban stock trading for Congress? Great. Now extend it to the President, the Cabinet, the courts, all of it. Washington needs a power washing. Trump pumps his portfolio while your paycheck gets pinched.

📍Leblanc Elementary School, Abbeville, Louisiana A child's future shouldn't depend on their zip code – and the leadership, teachers, and students at Leblanc have shown that a school in rural America can set high standards and achieve them. Constructed as part of Vermilion Parish’s recovery from Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Rita, the achievement from the students at Leblanc Elementary have made the school a Top Gains Honoree in Louisiana with an A for Student Progress.

Started the morning at Wilcox Early Learning Academy in the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans. Wilcox’s Central City campus addresses two urgent needs for 150 students and their families: housing affordability and quality child care. Their five part model uses 1) dedicated local investment; 2) state and local partnership; 3) coordinated access through the City Seats program; 4) whole-child support including developmental, vision, and hearing screening, infant and early childhood mental health support, language access; and teacher professional development, and 5) provider partnership. Louisiana is proving what a kid's future can be with the right start. Every child across America deserves the same.

Powerful day listening and learning from the teachers, parents, students, and education leaders of New Orleans. America can learn a lot from the people of Louisiana. Half of our kids can't read at grade level, and too many of our political leaders have accepted failure for half of American kids. But Louisiana has decided it doesn’t have to be that way. Tonight, you shared what's working – and it's on us to take that to 49 other states.
