日本參議員:
「日本外交史上最大的錯誤，就是1972年日中建交時與台灣斷交。我希望在有生之年看到日本與台灣恢復邦交。」
（難道入侵周邊國家，突襲美國，入侵東南亞等等都不是「日本外交史上最大的錯誤」嗎?)
