Tobacco accounted for 20,160 cases, or more than 61% of the total. Authorities seized 4.86 million packs of tobacco products and estimated penalties in tobacco cases at 4.38 billion baht. Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploytalay Laksameesangchan said authorities were intensifying operations against smuggled and untaxed goods, particularly illegal cigarettes.
