In 1995, Gloria Steinem spoke at WITI’s very first conference.
She challenged women not simply to succeed in technology, but to help redefine it, and to ensure technology ultimately serves humanity.
Looking at the WITI community that day, she said:
“This is one hell of a butterfly.”
31 years later, the work continues. And the butterfly is still flying. 🦋
Today, WITI honors Gloria Steinem and the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind.
