Super intrigued by the Anrich Nortje selection here. Was quick but a bit up and down when he last played the Aussies in a Test series, which also happened to be a few months before he played his last Test in March 2023

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT - FIRST TEST 🚨
The South Africa Men’s selection panel has today named a preliminary 18-player squad for the first Dafabet Test against Australia, scheduled to take place from 09 - 13 October at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.
Hollywoodbets Dolphins batter Marques Ackerman is the only uncapped player in the squad, earning his maiden Test call-up following an impressive run of form for South Africa A (SA ‘A’).
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been included as he continues his recovery from a right hamstring injury.
Fellow seamers Ottneil Baartman, Kwena Maphaka and Lungi Ngidi were not considered for selection as they continue their rehabilitation from their respective hamstring injuries.
Gerald Coetzee (Momentum Multiply Titans), Anrich Nortje (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), and Dane Paterson (YesPlay Cobras) make their return to the Test setup.

David Miller is just ageless isn’t he
Underrated Guitar Hero: Marty Friedman.
1/5 – Roots
Born 1962 in Washington D.C. Picked up guitar at 14 after seeing KISS live in 1976.
His family moved to Hawaii, where he joined a band literally called Hawaii and recorded three albums before anyone outside the islands knew his name.
He connected with Shrapnel Records in 1981, but it took six years to make real noise.
In 1986 he recruited a 16-year-old Jason Becker to form Cacophony. Their debut, Speed Metal Symphony, is still one of the most intense twin-guitar albums ever recorded.
Most fans discovered it too late.

What a champion human & Alex Pearce’s absence in the final quarter for @freodockers cannot be underestimated
Can’t get over how Logan Morris held his nerve in those final few minutes, especially the kick that gave @brisbanelions the one-point lead. What a future he promises to have
Bloody hell. That has to be one of the greatest @afl grand finals ever? How can you not feel for Justin Longmuir and the @freodockers but how can you also not be super chuffed for Chris Fagan and @brisbanelions. What an incredible sport this is #AFLGF#

If you’re wondering, like me, why Kingsmead in Durban looks far from being full for this ODI, I’ve been reliably informed that it’s a 10 am start on a public holiday & most locals would prefer being on a beach or at the mall #SAvAus#
