Starship Flight 14 will deploy 26 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites into the constellation for the first time. Each V3 satellite is designed to provide: • 1 Tbps downlink capacity • 160 Gbps uplink capacity • Around 10× more downlink and 22× more uplink capacity than V2 • 2,048 downlink and 2,048 uplink beams • Six high-capacity 400 Gbps space lasers • 1.2 Tbps of RF backhaul capacity, more than 8× V2 • Approximately twice the solar power Together, these 26 satellites will add 26 Tbps of capacity to Starlink, around 10× the capacity added by one Falcon 9 launch of V2 Mini satellites. Future Starship launches will be capable of adding around 20× more capacity per mission than Falcon 9 launches with V2 satellites. Starship and Starlink V3 were built for each other. This combination will help Starlink serve millions more people with faster and more reliable internet worldwide. Flight 14 is targeting September 22, pending regulatory approval.
