We are launching Uplift, backed by a $7M seed led by @a16z. We build homes the way cars are built: on a production line. 250 years ago Adam Smith wrote that lodging couldn't travel. A coat is made in one place and worn in another. A home never has. He was right for 250 years. We intend to prove him wrong. My co-founder @trevoroleary and I built at SpaceX and Tesla. We're applying the same playbook used for Starlink and Cybercab to housing: design for manufacturing, ship volume, drive cost down with each version. Over the next 3 months we'll deploy our first homes and scale toward a production rate that could rival the largest car companies in the world. Enough volume to house thousands, then millions per year. Enough to move rent. We are hiring engineers. We are taking orders.
