Isn't it funny how we consciously act cautious and advice people to be vigilant in all aspects, but then bad things happen to us within the same circumstances as though we have no choice to avoid them?

Vehicles run into people whiles they applied the highest level of safety measures on the road.
They say certain things are predestined. I can't bring myself to agree nor disagree to that.
What do you think?
I find it funny when people boast of their prowess in games that are largely dependent on luck, such as playing cards.
A novice cannot suffice on luck alone, but knowing how to play is not much of a big deal.
