Just heard a very compelling argument that Stripe overpaid for OpenRouter:
Suppose someone handed you $7B to compete with them. You could offer OpenRouter’s entire current user base 7+ years of free tokens.
Buffett famously puts a lot of weight on replacement cost. If someone launched an Amazon competitor tomorrow and offered to pay for my next 7 years of purchases if I switched, I’d switch in a heartbeat.
