Weekly Travel Update ALASKA EXPANDS HAWAII NETWORK, CUTS NEW ZEALAND $ALK will add seasonal Honolulu flights to Boise and Spokane starting in December while discontinuing Hawaiian Airlines’ Honolulu–Auckland service, citing shifting travel demand. Capacity from the canceled New Zealand route will be redeployed to increase Honolulu–Las Vegas flights as the airline continues optimizing its post-merger network. FRONTIER EXPANDS AFTER SPIRIT EXIT $ULCC will launch four new routes beginning in November and December, including services previously operated by Spirit Airlines, as it expands into markets left vacant by its rival’s collapse. The carrier is also rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet, enhancing its competitive position while pursuing disciplined network growth. EXPEDIA, ALLEGIANT FORM EXCLUSIVE BOOKING PARTNERSHIP $EXPE signed a 12-month exclusive agreement to become the first authorized online travel agency for $ALGT, adding Allegiant’s 566-route network across 124 U.S. cities. The deal gives Expedia full coverage of all U.S. commercial airlines while expanding Allegiant’s distribution and access to leisure travelers.
