The rise in crime, homelessness, and disorder is partially to blame for businesses shutting down. I’ve spoken with restaurant owners who tell me they need to close earlier in the evening because their employees don’t feel safe committing home late at night. When we have an AG who just fights crime, it will bring safety and prosperity to New York.

Letitia James has sent more than $54 million in taxpayer money to organizations that advocate for defunding the NYPD and a future without jails. That money should be going to help victims of crime. As your next Attorney General, I will set it right.

I was a federal prosecutor for 12 years and put a man in prison for life for a series of horrific sexual assaults. You never judge a case before you know the facts.  Letitia James already has, and she has never prosecuted a criminal case in her life.

A bus driver was brutally attacked. His accused attacker was released on bail and has now been arrested for allegedly assaulting a fire marshal. Last night, Letitia James made clear that she continues to support the broken bail laws that she has championed for eight years, even though they have resulted in repeat offenders hurting innocent transit workers, first responders, and everyday New Yorkers. I have proposed a commonsense way to fix those broken bail laws that has bipartisan support and will stop New York’s revolving door of repeat offenders. This issue is one of the clearest differences between us. Today, we have another example of why this issue cannot be ignored. New Yorkers deserve an Attorney General who takes violent crime seriously, fights to keep dangerous repeat offenders off our streets, and puts public safety first.

Antisemitism is on the rise in New York, and we cannot allow this hatred to become the new normal. I made it clear tonight: As Attorney General, I will confront antisemitism head-on and hold those responsible accountable.

I confronted Letitia James about her record on Medicaid fraud. Criminal convictions by New York’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit fell from 97 in 2018 to just 19 in 2024 — an 80% decline.
