When you launch an app and factor in customer acquisition, operational costs, accounting... you won't be willing to price it down into oblivion. - For 98% businesses it will still be cheaper to pay $29/mo for an app, than to host their own. - No, open source won't be an alternative for normies. They won't be bothered to host their own apps. As developer, you can take Open Source app (or vibe code one) and turn it into a business, but you still have to factor in your time for maintenance, marketing, customer support, and overhead. - My wife does workshops for kids. Guess what... she can't be bothered vibe coding her stuff, she wants to focus working with kids! - Indie hacker can find 500 people paying $10/mo and live off of it. There are $8B people, do the math. - Services will change a lot. What used to cost $10.000, clients will now pay $1.000 or $100. - Market will grow more than ever! A coach could not afford a coaching CRM for $10.000. Now they can. They will pay $100-$500 for it. Every coach in the world can now have a personal Coaching CRM! - This applies to EVERY small business. Most people don't realize this. What's possible today is far beyond what exists in the market. I've heard people say Grok Bot is another "ChatGPT moment". It's easy and super simple to use. YoutubeToTranscript has an advanced Ad Network. We parse transcripts users retrieve for keywords, and we can show hyper-targeted ads based on user interest. For example, if someone is searching for "Grok Bot" we're now displaying our internal ads for instead of AdSense. Should I open it up for other builders to advertise?

It is clear to me. We need a custom Ad Network for builders! The outbid frenzy has revealed: there are thousands of builders ready to pay to put eyes on their products. There are also 1000s of sites out there with some traffic but not enough to get sponsors. Legacy Ad networks like AdSense are terrible. They pay very little to publishers and charge a lot to advertisers. We need a product where: > I add $1000 > My ad gets displayed on 100s of builder sites > I can whitelist the sites > I pay $1 per click for relevant traffic (later it can be tiered) > Builder gets paid $0.80 for every click they send me. Every launchpad, every directory, every .lol site, every tool, every blog should have an opportunity to allocate some property to this. Sponsors should have an easy way to pay for eyes on their product and clicks. Not having to do deals with 1 site at a time. Build it in public, build it fair for both sides.

Okay, let me summarize the last 24h: - Posted about traffic on YoutubeToTranscript (240K/day) - Sold the first sponsored slot 1h later at $800 - Sold another at $1000 - Went to sleep - Woke up to a bunch of DMs - Sold out 8/8 by 12pm. Total $11.000 of MRR. Here are key takeaways: 1. This is not just another Outbid clone. YTT has been around and growing for 2+ years. 2. I've built and tested our internal Ad network over the past 3 months. It's not new. 3. I'll work with sponsors to provide long-term value. Sponsors are getting access to the dashboard where they can run A/B tests and track stats. My AI Agents managing the ad network will keep providing recommendations. None of this happened overnight. Months of grinding. It just happened to be good timing to catch the wave of sponsorship interest. So far, I capped the slots at 8. No rotation. I could have sold more easily, but I want to make sure the first batch is set up and getting traffic. If I see there's enough clicks to onboard more sponsors, I'll open 7 more slots - up to 15 max.
