Watching stuff like this makes me feel like there are genuine down-to-earth concrete engineering problems in doing agents well and gets me excited about engineering again

Between watermarking, safety filters, undocumented system prompt changes in harnesses, routing to less capable models, and usage limits, it will be interesting to see how long hosted models continue to produce results that are useful for everyday work.

I wish more AI products were pitched to me like this and less like its going to take your job and later cyberattack you
so far today instinct has:
-purchased movie tickets for my kids + their friends. when i needed to add one ticket it easily found the closest available.
- ordered school photos for the kids on shutterfly
- had it sign the waiver for a kids bday next week at one of those indoor adventure places
- scheduled tomorrow's instacart order
- and it is currently cleaning up my gmail and unsubscribing from a million junk things
these are all pain in the ass things that would've taken me at least 3 hours and dampened the mood.
the world has no idea what a working mom can do with three hours of her day back.

i do 1,2,4,5, and 7 really well but should spend more time reading books and academic papers (which was easier to integrate into my routine pre-2026), and should consistently ask the agent to critique two competing approaches.
