I'm unsure what AI gateway to use, there's so many of them. Somebody should make a gateway that simply routes my requests to the best gateway.
got a bunch of new customers today. imagine if I redesigned my site every single day. unlimited MRR.
Netlify took my marketing site offline. Paid the bill and it’s back up. Turns out I’ve been paying them for years, then for whatever reason I was downgraded to a free plan when they redid their pricing a year ago. I’ve been sitting on that without realising, until today when I hit some free plan limit. Not sure what the lesson is here other than… damn must be nice to be a SaaS hosting company. Fastest I’ve ever hit the “upgrade now” button 😅

The more capable AI agents become, the more SaaS they eat, the more I think SaaS as we know it will consolidate around System of Record software. AI doesn't replace a CMS / CRM. I expect to see those spaces get even more competitive, and even more niched down.

I use ruby, plain JS, and all my view templates use slim (minimal markup). Never even come close to max tokens.
this what you get for not using a token efficient language like Ruby
Proud to announce Fartbid - whoever farts the loudest gets to be on top! Our patented algorithm can detect the difference between a live fart and a recording, so no cheating!
Owner of the .lol TLD after making zero sales for years.
100% agree, but I also think in a way if you launch one of these you'll learn some indiehacking lessons; that you can build something cool and still make zero money from it, because <reasons>. Better you learn that on a 1 day toy project, than sink months into building a SaaS.

For fuck’s sake, stop calling this indie hacking. This is hype extraction. Create a leaderboard, manufacture FOMO, get people to throw money at it, screenshot the spike, then pretend someone built a $60k business overnight. Most of these will be fucking dead in a few weeks. This shit gives new builders a completely warped idea of what building a real business looks like.

Let me be clear, I will never read a single article in any of my curated magazine issues. But having them there would fill me with a sense of intellectual superiority that is absolutely worth $19.
This is one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. I love the thought of having a stack of these on my coffee table, a magazine curated by me. Perfect intersection of utility and vanity.
Introducing Offprint™ The physical magazine made from everything you "save for later" but never actually go back to read. Find online, read offline. Print media is back!
me building an artisanal, high protein SaaS product while you vibe code your 27th bidding directory.
They are bidding to list on a directory… they paid to be on that fellas wedding jacket… … they will pay for a sponsored slot on my rally bike right? 😆🤔
Learning every day. As an API product founder, when I created our MCP I figured, just enable all API actions. But in the MCP world there’s tradeoffs, context size, reasoning ability, etc. So now the default is 17 tools. 56 available at /all if you want everything.

Sometimes I feel like I'm overcomplicating my life trying to build a SaaS company when you can just build a directory site and make like $25,000 in one day lol
At Bannerbear, we dogfood our own software. Adding "as used by Bannerbear" to homepage.
With AI I'm doing some of the best design work of my life, but functionally I have devolved into that annoying micromanage-y creative director type who is like "nope move that box to the left. not that much. NOPE"

Chair upgrade 🔥 Video with fingers to prove not AI.
Idea for SaaS: AI agent that observes your competitors "feature comparison with <your app>" lists. Builds the features they say you don't have. Then auto files a trade libel dispute requiring them to remove false information. Comparison lists are dumb in a post AI world.

Where does the "AI" section (info about mcp, chat plugins etc) live on a marketing site. Is it under integrations, developers...? Or does every site need a first class "AI Agents" section in the nav now. Discuss.

Why are there suddenly so many indie social scheduling apps? Is there something open source that people are tweaking and building on? I somehow don’t believe that these are all vibe coded from scratch.
