Neuralink will do live-changing good for ultimately millions, maybe billions, of people. Imagine your loved one being able to walk again or your parent with dementia being able to recognize their child again.

🚨 Elon Musk on Neuralink: "Neuralink is building brain computer interfaces. The first part is called telepathy, allows someone who has lost the use of their body to control a computer or a phone just by thinking. In fact, you can interact with a number of people who've done this online. Right now, they're on on the 𝕏 platform, you can DM them, I think, and they'll reply by thinking. Then there's a second device, very similar to the first one, called BLINDSIGHT, which will enable people who are blind to see, including people who have been blind from birth. It'll interface directly with the visual cortex in the brain. And hopefully we'll be able to do the first blind site implant in a human within the next 12 months, I'd say I'm quite confident that we can do that. And then I also think it's quite likely, if not close to certain, that we'll be able to enable somebody who's has a severed spinal column to walk again, and by taking the signals from the brain, bridging them over the severed connection in the spine and re energizing the nerves past the point that's broken, like you can just think of it like some wires got broken, and if you can bridge the signals, your body will work again."

NEWS: Elon Musk's company, Neuralink, has now successfully implanted its brain chip into five humans. The patients can control a mouse using only their thoughts. Neuralink aims to implant its new brain chip, Blindsight, into a human patient for the first time in late 2025/early 2026, likely in the UAE. The device aims to restore sight to people who are completely blind.
