Here are Tesla’s current five largest shareholders (excluding Elon Musk) and how they voted in last year’s ratification of Elon's 2018 pay package: • Vanguard (holds $115B in $TSLA): For • BlackRock ($95B): For • State Street ($52B): Against • Fidelity/Geode Capital ($30B): For • JPMorgan Chase ($21B): For Unlike last year’s ratification vote, Elon and Kimbal Musk can both participate in this year's 2025 CEO Performance Award plan vote due to Tesla's reincorporation to Texas (from Delaware). BUT, we should not get complacent. Assume this vote is close and encourage everyone you know who is a $TSLA shareholder to vote. 8 days left.

NEWS: The State Board of Administration of Florida, which owns $1.23 billion of $TSLA stock, says it is voting FOR Elon Musk's 2025 CEO Performance Award on Nov 6th. "If the 2025 CEO performance award achieves its intended outcomes, it would mark one of the most remarkable examples of performance-based compensation driving shareowner value in modern corporate history. For shareowners, it would validate a bold governance strategy that aligns leadership incentives with long-term growth. For the investment world, it would set a precedent for how visionary leadership, paired with ambitious yet measurable goals, can deliver outsized returns and reshape expectations around executive pay and corporate performance. Critics of the 2025 Tesla Performance Award often overlook the simple fact that this exact model of incentive compensation has already proven itself twice over. The 2018 plans were derided in almost identical terms ("excessive," "outsized") yet both drove extraordinary shareholder returns. The 2012 package, contingent on a tenfold increase in market capitalization, was achieved years ahead of schedule. The 2018 award, which ISS and Glass Lewis have criticized, required Tesla to grow from roughly $50 billion to $650 billion in market cap; growth that was accomplished within only four years, creating hundreds of billions of dollars in shareholder wealth. In both cases, the dilution effect was minimal compared to the immense value creation for investors. Musk only benefited when shareholders benefited first. The same dynamic underpins the 2025 award. The milestones are extraordinarily demanding as they require Tesla to become an $8.5 trillion enterprise and to achieve operational breakthroughs in autonomy, robotics, and energy storage. For shareowners, this represents an upside bet: as Tesla achieves each of the targets in the plan, investors enjoy a significant gain in value. This is not moral hazard, it's alignment. Those who claim the plan is "too large" ignore the scale of ambition that has historically defined Tesla's trajectory. A company that went from near-bankruptcy to global leadership in EVs and clean energy under similar frameworks has earned the right to use incentive models that reward moonshot performance. Conclusion: Tesla's performance-based CEO compensation plans have consistently driven extraordinary shareowner value, far outpacing industry peers and market benchmarks. The proposed 2025 plan continues this tradition, aligning executive rewards with ambitious, measurable milestones that benefit all shareowners. With robust governance safeguards, transparent succession planning, and a proven track record of value creation, we believe this plan sets the gold standard or executive compensation. For these reasons, among others, the SBA will be voting FOR the 2025 CEO Performance Award at the Annual General Meeting to be held on November 6, 2025."

A new 30-minute presentation from @aelluswamy, Tesla’s VP of AI, has been released, where he talks about FSD, AI and the team’s latest progress. Highlight from the presentation: • Tesla's vehicle fleet can provide 500 years of driving data every single day. Curse of Dimensionality: • 8 cameras at high frame rate = billions of tokens per 30 seconds of driving context. • Tesla must compress and extract the right correlations between sensory input and control actions. Data Advantage: • Tesla has access to a “Niagara Falls of data” — hundreds of years’ worth of collective fleet driving. • Uses smart data triggers to capture rare corner cases (e.g., complex intersections, unpredictable behavior). Quality and Efficiency: • Extracts only the essential data needed to train models efficiently. Debugging and Interpretability: • Even though the system is end-to-end, Tesla can still prompt the model to output interpretable data: 3D occupancy, road boundaries, objects, signs, traffic lights, etc. • Natural language querying: ask the model why it made a certain decision. • These auxiliary predictions don’t drive the car but help engineers debug and ensure safety. Tesla’s Advanced Gaussian Splatting (3D Scene Modeling): • Tesla developed a custom, ultra-fast Gaussian splatting system to reconstruct 3D scenes from limited camera views. • Produces crisp, accurate 3D renderings even from few camera angles — far better than standard NeRF/splatting approaches. • Enables rapid visual debugging of the driving environment in 3D. Evaluation & World Models: • Evaluation is the hardest challenge: models may perform well offline but fail in real-world conditions. • Tesla builds balanced, diverse evaluation datasets focusing on edge cases — not just easy highway driving. Introduced a learned world simulator (neural network-generated video engine): • Can simulate 8 Tesla camera feeds simultaneously — fully synthetic. • Used for testing, training, and reinforcement learning. • Allows adversarial event injection (e.g., adding a pedestrian or vehicle cutting in). • Enables replaying past failures to verify new model improvements. • Can run in near real-time, letting testers “drive” inside a simulated world. What’s Next: • Scale robotaxi service globally. • Unlock full autonomy across the entire Tesla fleet. • Cybercab: next-gen 2-seat vehicle designed specifically for robotaxi use, targeting lowest transportation cost (cheaper than public transit). • Same neural networks will power Optimus humanoid robot. • The same video generation system is now being applied to Optimus. • The system can simulate and plan movement for robots, adapting easily to new forms. via the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV). Starlink Mini Review: "I’ve written skeptically about Starlink in the past, but as I sat on top of a mountain in the North Cascades watching live NFL games in HD, I couldn’t help but grin; I ran some more real-world tests. The Starlink Mini passed all of them beautifully. I streamed live NFL games, FaceTimed a friend and streamed Game of Thrones in 4K. In every case, the experience felt no different than if I were doing those things on my cable internet connection at home. I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say Starlink is a miraculous technology. One user in Alaska described it to me in a previous interview as an absolute game changer where he lives. “You bring a Starlink dish out there and plug it in. Two minutes later, you've got the whole world again in the palm of your hand,” he said."

Tesla FSD (Supervised) review in Australia: "Once you’ve driven with FSD for any length of time, it’s hard to imagine life without it. Elon Musk and Tesla have changed the way we drive forever. There's no looking back. We put it through a weekend of challenging traffic situations, road work, merging/disappearing lanes, six-way intersections, Saturday sport traffic, Sunday go-slow drivers and the system negotiated them all with nuance and aplomb. Indeed it is so good, its easy of use and stress-free experience might even convince my fortysomething wife to finally get her driver’s license. It’s that good."

Tesla Board Chair Robyn Denholm in new message to $TSLA shareholders: "Tesla is not led by an ordinary CEO - it is led by a CEO who has proven his ability to create extraordinary growth and value several times over. Elon Musk is a once-in-a-generation visionary and, under his continued leadership, we have the potential to become the most valuable company in history.' But this requires a one-of-a-kind compensation structure that both retains and incentivizes him to make our vision a reality. Our Board's Special Committee designed a 2025 CEO Performance Award to retain, motivate and incentivize Elon in a way that will be 100% aligned with Tesla shareholders. Building upon the successful framework of the 2018 CEO Performance Award, we have created a pay-for-performance compensation plan that will deliver tremendous value for shareholders. In other words, Elon will receive zero compensation, unless and until shareholders realize substantial value. Elon only gets compensated if shareholders win - and win big."

NEWS: Tesla's auto sales soared in Turkey to a record high in August. Tesla sold 8,730 Model Y's, up 86% from the previous month and 7x more BEVs than the #2# brand in the country, and in sharp contrast with some of the other sales trends in Europe. Tesla's base Model Y, the only one available in Turkey, is taxed at the county's lowest bracket, considerably lower than conventional combustion engine cars even after a tax hike in late July.

Tesla’s Robotaxi service in Austin launched just 55 days ago (not 4 months), and since then the geofenced area has already expanded 4x. The in-car safety monitor has limited controls to stop the vehicle if needed, but they are not actually driving it. I’d much rather see Tesla take this cautious, step-by-step approach than rush it. And when the safety monitors eventually come out, critics will just move the goalposts anyway. FSD V14 should be a big step forward. Open access is also be coming next month, according to Elon.
