PC AUTO, a known Chinese auto publication, recently reviewed intelligent driving systems from eight major brands: Huawei, BYD, XPeng, Zeekr, LI, Xiaomi, NIO and Tesla. In 2 scenarios where a tree is in the way, FSD is the only system that successfully drove around to stay the course. Every other system failed to proceed. Et les taux d’imposition qui maximisent les revenus de l’État sont généralement supérieurs à ceux qui maximisent la croissance (toutes choses égales par ailleurs, notamment le mix fiscal). Résultat : on maximise les recettes à court terme, mais on freine l’économie à long terme. Le Canada, d’ailleurs, est clairement au-dessus du seuil optimal de taxation et de taille de l’État pour stimuler la croissance, sans même atteindre le seuil optimal pour “tondre le mouton” au maximum (voir Ref. 1 et 2, images 2 et 3). Les études sérieuses suggèrent que la taille optimale de l’État pour maximiser la croissance se situe entre 30 % et 40 % du PIB. Le Canada est nettement au-delà. Ce constat implique qu’il faut réduire la taille de l’État pour créer l’espace nécessaire à des baisses d’impôts.
