Rainbow Road isn't in Mario Kart World cos its been replaced with "Rainbow World", which serves as a modified version of the entire game with additional paths and stage hazards. Each track has a modified 'Rainbow World' variation.

Considering Mario Kart World is probably gonna around for a decade. I think the open world lends itself well to updates. Can just keep expanding the world and it also lends itself well to various new modes using the same map.

The races between each race track in Mario Kart World don't look super exciting so far. Often very wide with the same traffic used everywhere. Lots of empty wide roads with boost pads.
I dunno. It'll probs turn out great but they gotta justify the open world aspect more imo

The biggest issue with Kirby Star-Crossed World from a glance is that...that game already had a second quest with reworked levels from the original game.
So doing it for a third time is a bit tired unless it REALLY changes it up.
