Pioneers Are Being Targeted With a Sneaky Address Poisoning Trick
Scammers are transferring minuscule amounts of $Pi, usually 0.000314, to thousands of
@PiCoreTeam wallets. They use memos stating ridiculous conversion rates such as “1 Pi = $314,159.”
Victims are usually people whose wallets are exposed through public comments, fake websites, phishing links, or scam apps.
The objective is to drive the victims to phishing websites. Scammers need victims to give away their passphrase or Pi.
Precautions to take:
- Don’t enter your passphrase anywhere on untrusted sites or applications.
- Ignore any unsolicited offers to sell Pi.
- View tiny transfers with suspicious memos as signs of a scam.
One wrong move is all they need.
