Tesla DIY set Sunday vibes 🔧
Have to admit, I’m pretty impressed by how simple this car is mechanically and how easy it is to work on.
Different bolts, different lengths and thicknesses - somehow everything is M10.
The whole thing is basically bolts, clips and parts that just click into place. The only part that takes a bit of patience is swapping all the sensors over.
And this is a 2016 Model S, still made in the USA.
Almost 10 years old, and you can tell they built these things properly. Really solid car.
150k km on the clock and just 4% battery degradation.
Kinda wish Tesla had kept some of that early Model S build quality. The later generations were clearly built with mass production in mind, and you can definitely feel the difference.
