George Washington Carver pioneered agriculture with concepts of crop rotations. He taught farmers to plant nitrogen-fixing crops such as peanuts and soybeans. However, he was making history years before when he became the first Black student at Iowa State University, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees.
